California Fair Plan has been struggling in detecting insurance applications that have been rejected before. The change of applicant's name, the change from abbreviation to full spellings or vise versa on the property addresses have made the system failed to recognize that they are the same applications that have been denied before. Therefore, complete transactions on New Business Application are performed before the underwriters finally catch the fraud.

With the Property Address Duplication Detection Module that openFLEX just built, addresses are checked in a special way so that the above fraud is filtered out at the point of data entry. California Fair Plan is greatly pleased that approximately 20% save on New Business Application processing is achieved because of the new module.
